Since discovering the Rodial Skin Tint, I haven’t bought another foundation or tinted moisturiser since. For someone with an unhealthy make-up buying obsession like myself, that is a big statement to make, but I truly mean it when I say I can no longer live without it.
I’m now onto my second tube of the stuff (it lasts for ages – I used my last tube over four months almost every day) and I love it. You only need a small amount to cover the entire face and once you apply it, it stays put: you won’t need to reapply throughout the day.
Unlike most tinted moisturisers, this doesn’t leave my alabaster skin looking orange. I wear Capri, their lightest shade, and having tried lots of tinted moisturisers or BB creams before, find this closely matches my skin. It comes in four shades and provides an even, buildable coverage – the more you put on, the more it covers.
It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy like other tinted moisturisers: it’s light and allows your skin to breathe. In fact, my skin has got a LOAD better since using it. I can honestly say I’ve had hardly any breakouts since using it, except for sometimes when my hormones fluctuate. For someone who’s skin reacts to EVERYTHING, that’s a bold statement to make.
Like a lot of Rodial’s skin creams, the Skin Tint literally makes your skin glow. It photographs amazingly well and makes your face look fresh and healthy, which is why I wear it for castings.
I also like the fact it has SPF 20 in it. Dermatologists swear keeping skin young (and safe!) by using a SPF and I often forget to wear any, so this does the job for me.
I usually love the Rodial packaging, but sadly this tube does look a bit bland and unexciting. But don’t let appearances deceive you – it’s what’s inside that counts!
At £45/$45, it’s not cheap. But once you find a shade that matches you, you’ll be hooked!
