Here are some of my favourite new beauty buys that I’ve treated myself to recently!
BEAUTY BLENDER & SOAP, $25
If you don’t own a Beauty Blender by now, you are seriously missing out. I know $25 for a sponge seems ridiculous (which, let’s be honest, it is), but it blends your make-up seamlessly into the skin, helping you look as natural as possible. I usually wash my make-up brushes with washing up liquid, but this soap is incredible – it literally melts foundation off the sponge instantly.
H&M FACE MASK, $3.99
These face masks come in an array of colours and ingredients, treating all skin types (dry, oily and combination). They would make brilliant gifts for your friends! I tried their ‘Dead Sea Mud’ mask, which behind its orange exterior was a a thick, pretty, baby-blue clay. For the price you pay, the mask itself is superb quality, with a generous amount of product inside and the little beads inside left my skin feeling exfoliated and baby-soft.
BUXOM EYESHADOW, $14
I’d never heard of Buxom before but I found their products lurking in Sephora and decided to try an eyeshadow. The idea is to buy the eyeshadows individually and then store them in one of their customisable compacts, but I bought just the one. I liked this orangey, glitter shade as you can build it up as much as you like. Only problem is that because I’m so pale, it can make me look like I’ve got an eye infection!
